Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Imerys Aluminates in Purfleet, Essex. As an integral part of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned, scheduled routine and reactive maintenance of fixed plant and associated systems.

The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of electrical and mechanical maintenance including fixed processing plant - including fans, filters, mills, conveyors, packaging, etc. You will also need to:

  • Have an NVQ level 3, or equivalent, in an Engineering discipline
  • Electrical Installation Work Certificate (City and Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 or equivalent)
  • Previous experience of working in a heavy production / manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding and experience of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and process systems
  • Willingness to respond to afterhours breakdowns
  • Legally able to drive in the UK

This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working at height and in confined spaces.

Salary and Location

This position offers a competitive salary of up to £44,000 per annum, plus a call-out allowance of £9,889 per annum. You will be based in Purfleet, Essex, RM19 1NZ, with easy access to major transportation links.
