Job Description

Yorkshire Water is seeking a skilled Project Controls Lead to join their Asset Delivery PMO team. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to play a critical role in the delivery of a multi-billion-pound programme of capital investment across the company's clean and wastewater assets.

About the Role:

  • Drive the application of proportionate project control processes across the programme of work.
  • Facilitate regular sessions with the project team to discuss project health and provide appropriate challenge and support.
  • Work with projects to ensure they are following agreed-upon project control processes, including financial forecasting, change control, and RAID management.
  • Coordinate programme status reports and measure progress of key metrics.
  • Work closely with the project planner to provide a fully integrated performance approach.
  • Collaborate with other Project Control Leads to ensure consistency and best practice.
  • Carry out assurance activities, including project assurance reviews.
  • Facilitate the successful completion of post-project reviews.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a PMO environment.
  • Ability to analyse and articulate key messages from project performance data.
  • Experience of report preparation and communicating key messages clearly.
  • Experience implementing risk management and/or change management processes.
  • Experience of tracking and reporting project cost profiles and knowledge of financial reporting principles.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to challenge undesired behaviours appropriately.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to use multiple systems.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships across the wider teams.
