About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Personal Assistant, providing support and care to an individual with complex needs. As a Personal Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the individual's safety, well-being, and independence.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Personal Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Providing personal care and support, including toileting, showering, and dressing
  • Assisting with cooking and meal preparation, and supporting the individual to eat and drink
  • Supporting the individual to take medication, as required
  • Assisting with household chores and general homemaking
  • Supporting the individual to access sporting and leisure activities
  • Encouraging socialisation and participation in activities
  • Developing a good and trusting working relationship with the individual


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be:

  • Honest, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Confident in your ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Empathetic and understanding of the individual's needs and requirements
  • Previous experience in caring or support work is essential
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances


Training and Support

We are committed to providing our staff with the training and support they need to excel in their roles. As a Personal Assistant, you will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities, including first aid training.

Transport Requirements

This role requires a car driver and owner, with business insurance. You will need to be able to transport the individual to and from appointments and activities, as required.

We take confidentiality and data protection very seriously. As a Personal Assistant, you will be required to maintain confidentiality and respect the individual's privacy at all times.
