We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant to support an individual with daily living tasks and activities. The successful candidate will have experience working with autism and diabetes, and be able to provide emotional support and companionship.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, including toileting, showering, and getting dressed.
- Support with cooking, meal preparation, and eating meals.
- Administer medication as required.
- Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
- Support with food shopping and meal planning.
- Assist with pet care and provide emotional support.
- Accompany the individual to appointments, social events, and leisure activities.
- Encourage socialization and independence.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with autism and diabetes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the individual's changing needs.
- First Aid training and DBS clearance.
Working Arrangements
The successful candidate will be required to work on a flexible basis, including evenings and weekends, to meet the individual's needs.
