About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Pharmacist to join our team at Independent Health Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines across our organization.
Main Responsibilities:
Leadership and Governance- Provide expert leadership and guidance on pharmacy matters to ensure compliance with national standards, best practice, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement effective policies and processes for the safe and effective use of medication across all services.
- Collaborate with senior clinicians to ensure the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medicines.
- Ensure Independent Health Group has robust processes for the management of medicines, ensuring compliance with current legislation and professional standards.
- Manage incidents involving medications and implement corrective actions.
- Lead improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical governance developments.
- Maintain registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and complete ongoing professional development.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care related to medicines management.
- Provide expertise and support to stakeholders on medicines management issues.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to data protection requirements.
- Attend and contribute to Clinical Review meetings.
