About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at British Red Cross. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to individuals in need, ensuring they receive the care and assistance required to live independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a friendly face for vulnerable individuals, providing emotional support and reassurance during their discharge from hospital.
  • Transport patients home using a British Red Cross vehicle, ensuring their safe and comfortable transfer.
  • Ensure patients are settled at home following their hospital discharge, providing any necessary support and guidance.

Requirements

  • Be a thoughtful and caring individual with a natural way with vulnerable people.
  • Have some experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting, with the ability to manage your own workload.
  • Be IT literate and able to use technology to support your work.
