About the Role
We are seeking a Casual Support Worker to join our team at Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry, County Armagh. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with their discharge from hospital, ensuring they receive the care and support they need to return home safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting on referrals from Daisy Hill Hospital to collect patients who are ready for discharge.
- Transporting patients home using a British Red Cross vehicle.
- Ensuring patients are settled at home following their hospital discharge.
Requirements
- Thoughtful, caring, and patient with a natural way with vulnerable people.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting.
- Ability to manage your own workload.
- IT literacy.
