Our 128-acre site in Chester is home to more than 37,000 animals and over 500 species. We work around the world to ensure species not only survive but thrive.

We are seeking an exceptional strategic leader as our Chief Conservation Officer/Deputy CEO. As part of our united strategy, this role will be responsible for directing and further developing our conservation plan and leading the integration of our Animal and Plant, Conservation Education & Engagement, and Conservation Science and Policy and Field Programmes departments into one 'Conservation' directorate.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of and passion for global conservation issues, bring a collaborative and collegiate approach, strong communication skills, excellent people management skills and experience, commercial acumen, and the ability and standing to be a strong advocate for our organisation and influence at senior level in relevant arenas.

We offer a competitive salary of £100,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a pension scheme and generous holiday entitlement.
