About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic special school located just outside of Taunton. The school provides a safe and supportive environment where learning becomes an enjoyable experience, embodying the trusts Group values of Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Caring.

The successful candidate will be working with students who have speech and language delay, impairments or disorder, along with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and/or moderate and severe learning needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be a support to both students and tutors, ensuring their learning needs are met with a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offer general classroom and 1:1 support to students in Key stage 3 and 4.
  • Work with pupils in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, which is entry level for GCSE.
  • Be flexible to follow instructions from peers and demonstrate confidence and be an excellent role model to pupils.
