Ackerman Pierce Ltd works in close collaboration with County Councils and educational institutions to provide individualized tutoring for children awaiting school placements. The students we are seeking to support possess a range of complex needs, making it essential that we recruit experienced SEN/HLTA's/tutors/teachers.

We are currently seeking a Secondary Maths and English Outreach Tutor to deliver face-to-face provision to SEND students requiring access to alternative education. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a passion for teaching young people with diverse needs and abilities.

Key details:

  • Location: Baildon
  • Position: KS3 and KS4 Maths and English Outreach Tutor for a student with ASD and SEMH needs
  • Contract type: Temporary
  • Hours: 15 hours per week (3 hours per day, 5 days a week)
  • Rate of pay: £25 - £33 per hour

This role requires candidates who are available during school hours up to 30 hours per week and have experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs, including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD. The successful candidate will be prepared to work face-to-face within the community.

Requirements:

  • Background teaching in English, Maths, or SEN classes ranging from KS1-KS5
  • QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching National Curriculum core subjects
  • At least 2 years of previous experience working within a UK school
