Long Term SEN Support Position in Basildon

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our 2-form entry school community in Basildon, Essex.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN LSA to work closely with the class teacher and staff to implement tailored learning strategies, ensuring students with special educational needs can engage with the mainstream curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a 2-form entry primary school setting
  2. Implementing EHCPs and working closely with the class teacher and staff to develop tailored learning strategies
  3. Assisting with individual and small group interventions to support students' academic and social development
  4. Creating a nurturing environment for students to succeed academically and socially
Requirements:
  1. Relevant experience supporting children with SEN, preferably within a school setting
  2. Passion for helping students with diverse learning needs and ability to adapt approach to meet individual requirements
  3. Excellent communication skills, both with students and staff, and ability to build strong relationships with children, particularly those with additional learning needs
  4. Strong understanding of strategies to support students with a variety of SEN, such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia
  5. Patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting the emotional and social development of children
  6. Willingness to engage in professional development and work closely with the teaching team to implement tailored learning programs
Salary Information:

£83.33 - £100 per day
