Job Title: Defence Business Services Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps engineer to join our team at Defence Business Services. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design, implementation, and operation of our IT systems.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality IT services to our customers. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical guidance and support to the team on all aspects of DevOps, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous monitoring.
  • Designing and implementing scalable and secure IT systems that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation and standards to ensure consistency and quality across our IT systems.
  • Representing Defence Business Services in technical discussions with contractors, product vendors, and other MOD departments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Programming and build (software engineering) Level 3: Practitioner
  • Prototyping Level 3: Practitioner
  • Service Support Level 4: Expert
  • Systems Integration Level 3: Practitioner
  • User Focus Level 3: Practitioner
  • Systems design Level 3: Practitioner
Desirable Skills and Experience

We are looking for candidates with experience working within Agile Teams, familiarity with Oracle EBS HR/Payroll or equivalent ERP products, and ITIL experience and/or certification.
