About the Role

North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Lived Experience Lead to join its team. As a key member of the Relational Care Team, you will play a crucial role in driving forward the organization's vision for relational care. Your primary responsibilities will include providing lived experience leadership and specialist advice to shape the Trust's approach to relational care, evaluating ways of working to support co-production and lived experience representation, and working with directorates/services/teams to integrate lived experience roles into their teams.

To be successful in this role, you will require direct experience of mental health distress and use of secondary mental health services. You must also possess effective leadership skills, be able to work with compassion and empathy, and understand how lived experience can enhance service transformation. A degree or significant level of work experience related to lived experience roles in mental health settings is essential. Accredited peer support worker training or further education/training in areas of user and/or carer involvement and/or mental health are desirable.
