Job Description

This role will be part of a friendly, collaborative multi-disciplinary team supporting individuals over the age of 18 who may be admitted to us informally or may be detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007).

You will work as part of multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs), contributing occupational therapy expertise to ensure we deliver outstanding assessment, care planning and support for the individuals in our care.

  • Keep individuals safe from any harm and protect their human rights.
  • Devise and deliver individual and group occupational therapy programmes.
  • Provide management and leadership of staff in the MDT delivering Occupational Therapy interventions.
  • Contribute to the effective running of MDTs by performing key functions, such as liaising with families, CPAs, minute-taking etc.

The successful candidate will have experience of working within a mental health inpatient setting and hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy. They must also be registered with HCPC as an Occupational Therapist.
