Mental Health Specialist

Job Description:
The Older Peoples Mental Health Inpatient Services at The Julian Hospital are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join their team as a full-time (10 session) role with 7.5 clinical sessions and 2.5 supporting programmed activities. As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, leading teams, and contributing to service development and improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, experience in supervising junior medical staff, and a driving license or ability to travel independently. A minimum of 3 years' experience in mental health services, equivalent medical experience, and a Section 12(2) approval under the Mental Health Act (MHA) are also required.
