Job Summary

Arup is seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join our Planning team. As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in supporting the Team Leader and Associates on a diverse range of planning projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Team Leader and Associates on planning projects, including preparing consent applications and managing the preparation of planning applications and data analysis.
  • Take responsibility for a specific aspect of a project, such as drafting reports and meeting with clients or key stakeholders.
  • Deliver smaller projects in accordance with client objectives, timescales, and budget.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement planning strategies and policies.
  • Provide expert advice on planning matters to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • BSc in Town Planning or similar qualification.
  • Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in town planning, ideally in the private sector and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
