About the Role

NMS Recruit is seeking a highly skilled Senior Fibre Planner to join our team in an exciting opportunity working with a thriving Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all planning activities in assigned regions, ensuring effective management of fibre design staff, civils, and fibre-optic infrastructure.
  • Design suitable civils and fibre-optic infrastructure that are cost-effective, fit-for-purpose, and future-proof, adhering to agreed install methodologies and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate fibre records within regions, ensuring up-to-date information for efficient planning and execution.
  • Forecast CAPEX and OPEX requirements for designed infrastructure projects, providing valuable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Produce detailed industry-standard documentation of designs, ensuring clarity and precision for stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and championing of network topologies, driving consistency, quality, suitability, and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Detailed understanding of civils route planning and fibre planning aspects.
  • Ability to produce detailed industry-standard survey, installation, and as-built documentation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of lit fibre services, FTTP methodologies, and design.
  • Working knowledge of GIS software, APX, GComms, GE Smallworld, or similar.
  • Full understanding of UK local and national authority regulations regarding civil engineering works.
  • Driving licence.
