Job Title: Teaching Assistant in Welsh Medium Primary School

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support children in the Foundation Phase at a vibrant and welcoming Welsh-medium primary school located in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and providing 1:1 support for a child with additional needs.
  • Help prepare and maintain a stimulating classroom environment and assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
  • Work closely with other staff members to ensure the child's individual needs are met and support with outdoor learning activities in line with the Foundation Phase curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children and ability to work 1:1 with children who may require additional support.
  • A caring, patient, and positive attitude, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Welsh language skills are essential for this role and all vetting requirements need to be completed, including a valid DBS and registration with the Education Workforce Council.
