Job Summary:

Orion Electrotech Automation Careers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining high-quality machinery and equipment for our clients in the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission new equipment, ensuring it meets the required specifications and standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing equipment, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients, ensuring they are proficient in using the equipment.
  • Collaborate with our sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with existing clients.
  • Conduct site visits to assess equipment needs and provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements.
  • Work closely with our manufacturing team to ensure seamless integration of new equipment and resolve any technical issues.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in field service work, preferably in the electrical or mechanical engineering sector.
  • Relevant engineering qualification, such as a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Full driving license and ability to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.
  • Strong understanding of PLC and PC-based control hardware and software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and overtime.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive base salary of £38,000 per annum, with potential for overtime pay.
  • 24 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
  • 37.5 hour working week, with flexible hours to accommodate client needs.
