Sja's West is dedicated to empowering young people through first aid education. We are seeking an experienced Programme Development Manager to oversee the implementation of our programmes in Sussex.

The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. This position offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes benefits and perks aligned with industry standards in the UK.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled professional who can develop and deliver high-quality programmes that meet SJA standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Badger, Cadet, and RISE programmes across the region, as well as running events such as camps.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programme development and delivery, with excellent leadership and communication skills. They will be able to work effectively with various stakeholders, including youth unit managers and District teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead the development and implementation of programmes that cater to young people aged 5-10 years.
  • To boost inter-unit collaboration, engage with Youth Leaders, identify training needs, raise awareness of Youth Leader wellbeing, and act as a conduit between units and districts.
  • To facilitate Youth Forums, scaffold social action projects, and promote youth voice across the district.

Requirements:

  • A strong educational background in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel across the Sussex District and undertake unit visits, as well as support at District events.
