University Sport Programmes Lead

British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) is seeking a University Sport Programmes Lead to join its team. The estimated salary for this role is £32,282 per annum.

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a sports professional to lead the development of student clubs at our university. As a key member of the BUCS team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to enhance club performance, grow participation, and foster inclusive environments.

You will work closely with various stakeholders, including sport governing bodies, community organizations, and university staff, to source funding and resources that support the growth and development of our sports programme.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective club development plans, setting targets for growth and engagement.
  2. Manage relationships with key partners to secure funding and resources for the sports programme.
  3. Create opportunities for students to gain qualifications, confidence, and deployment in the university and local community.

The successful candidate will have experience in supporting student club development, knowledge of health and safety legislation, and the ability to manage projects and partnerships effectively. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Relevant experience in sports development or a related field.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and implementation in a sport club setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Please note that this role is based in Full Time position and requires a salary of £30,505 to £33,882 per annum.
