Security Officer Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team at B&M Retail in Saracen, Glasgow. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our colleagues and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Observe and report any incidents or suspicious behavior in store
  • Monitor CCTV footage to prevent and detect potential security threats
  • Adhere to and enforce Health & Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
  • Conduct internal investigations into stock loss, fraud, and theft

As a Security Officer, you will work closely with our Store Management Team to meet loss prevention objectives and ensure the safety of our colleagues and customers. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of vigilance and professionalism at all times, even in pressured situations.

Requirements:
  • Ability to follow instructions and stay calm in high-pressure situations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deal with challenging customers in a professional and respectful manner
  • Strong work ethics, honesty, and integrity
