About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled People Operations Specialist to join our team at Cambridge Healthcare Research. As a key partner for our people and managers, you will deliver high-quality operational and advisory services that reflect our values and centre on providing a positive employee experience for all.

You will play an integral role within our People Team, which prides itself on proactively solving problems, acting as a thought partner, and driving change that enables the performance and development of our people and creates a fulfilling inclusive working environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in projects that deliver purposeful progress in how we leverage technology and enhance our ways of working. Our 2024 people roadmap includes the recent launch of a new career development framework, a new talent management platform, and a range of other initiatives to enrich our culture.

We welcome applicants interested in working either on a full-time or part-time basis, subject to a minimum of 30 hours per week over 4 to 5 days.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage activities across the employee lifecycle, from coordinating recruitment and onboarding processes to producing employment contracts and managing team mailboxes.
  • Assume greater responsibility of all people operations activity, working closely with our People Administrator and HR Manager.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and handle payroll and benefits administration.
  • Develop and improve HR systems and processes, producing and evolving standard operating procedures.
  • Work effectively with payroll and benefits providers as well as other external partners.
Requirements
  • Proven track record in HR administration, with experience of managing employee records, payroll, and benefits.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation, data protection laws, and HRIS.
  • Proficiency in talent management platforms and e-recruitment systems.
  • Experience of advising the business on people policies and practices.
  • Passion for building meaningful relationships with managers and other stakeholders.
