Employee Relations Advisor (12-month Fixed Term Contract)

At Wise, we're building a new network for the world's money, and we're looking for a talented Senior People Advisor to join our team in London.

This 12-month fixed term contract role will report to our EMEA ER Lead based in London and will be responsible for owning Employee Relations matters across multiple business functions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Independently owning ER matters end-to-end within your dedicated business functions, supporting and advising Wisers and Leads through complex situations.
  2. Partnering with People Advisors globally in cross-geographical ER cases, navigating complexity and flexibility with DEI and legal considerations.
  3. Collaborating with People Partners to complement their functional business insights with ER data and expertise.
  4. Analysing and identifying data-driven trends to educate and advise our functions and Senior Leadership team on business focus areas and better ER practices.
  5. Staying up-to-date with local employment laws and working practices, sharing knowledge and collaborating with the Support subteam to ensure our guidelines, policies, and processes are compliant.
  6. Reviewing and improving our operational processes to help us scale the impact of the People team without compromising the Wiser experience.
  7. Contribution to projects locally and globally, providing advisory input to shape the future of Wise as we continue to grow.
  8. Delivering People-related training sessions to upskill our Leads and address knowledge gaps highlighted in our ER data.

This role offers the opportunity to:

  1. Contribute to strategic thinking and planning cycles, attending global review sessions, and sharing ideas for improvements.
  2. Create continuous improvement within the team, partnering with global colleagues to recommend new approaches and changes in policy and procedures.
  3. Maximise advisory impact and partnership, collaborating with People Partners and senior stakeholders to share advisory data and trends.

About you:

  1. Strong HR experience, with a previous and demonstrable track record in a HR Advisor/ER Specialist role.
  2. A growth mindset, being resilient to and excited about change in a hyper-growth environment.
  3. Data-driven, with a focus on using facts and insights to inform your approach.
  4. Empathy and emotional intelligence, with the ability to communicate effectively and inclusively.
