Senior Botanist Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Botanist to join our team at Primordial Applied Science as a founding member.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead botanist role, working closely with the CEO to drive our microalgae research forward.
  • PhD in Botany or related field is mandatory.
  • Strong research background, either in academia or industry, with a proven track record of problem-solving.
  • High emotional intelligence and self-awareness, with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with high-tech and low-tech laboratory settings, including plant strain optimisation and sample collection and analysis.

Requirements:

  • Plant science expertise, including knowledge of microalgae strains, their strengths and limitations.
  • Experience with microalgae cultivation techniques and plant strain optimisation.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary setting, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Desirable Skills:

  • Expertise in plant virology and biophysics.
