About the Role: HR Generalist
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team on a fixed-term basis for a period of 12 months. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for managing and administering all HR activities across the company, ensuring a robust and supportive HR function that enhances the employee experience and complies with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full ownership and coordination of the recruitment process, including supporting hiring managers with job adverts, CV sifting, and interview scheduling.
- Coordination of the onboarding and exit process, including pre-employment checks, references, and offer letters.
- Preparation of monthly payroll information and liaison with our external payroll partner and group pension scheme.
- Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date employee records and collation of information for HR reports.
- Providing administrative HR support, including drafting of offers, employment contracts, and staff letters.
- Guidance to managers on employee relations issues and queries, including performance management, disputes, and grievances.
- Review and maintenance of employee policies and company documents.
- Coordination of staff benefits administration.
- Support with the implementation of other ad hoc People projects and ongoing HR administration.
About You:
To be a successful candidate, you must demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a HR generalist or similar role.
- Degree in HR or related field (CIPD Qualified) would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Understanding of HR laws and regulations and ability to apply them appropriately.
- Knowledge of current HR best practices, including metrics and use of technology.
- Experience in dealing with complex employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary matters, and other sensitive staff and company matters.
- Able to ensure absolute discretion and confidentiality at all times.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Dynamic and able to work within a fast-paced environment, with high attention to detail in all written and administrative work.
- Strong IT skills, comfortable using MS Office and online systems.
- Highly-organised and able to juggle competing priorities.
- A self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in processing or supporting payroll.
