Catering Team Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced catering professional to join our team at Lancashire County Council. As a Unit Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, healthy, and balanced meals for school children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cook and serve food and beverages in accordance with agreed menus and production plans.
  • Direct and/or supervise other employees to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Order supplies and store deliveries to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Maintain accurate records and stock control to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Recognised catering qualification and/or food hygiene certificate would be desirable.
  • Experience of catering for large numbers is also desirable.

Working Hours/Days:

  • Monday to Friday.
  • Term time only + 4 cleaning days during the school closure.
