About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Team Leader to join our team at Oswald House in Lancashire. As a Team Leader, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to vulnerable women with complex mental health issues.

Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality care and rehabilitation services, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with residents, their families, and our clinical team
  • Support residents in achieving their rehabilitation goals and promoting independence
  • Establish effective communication methods to ensure residents' needs are met
  • Provide personal care and support as needed, while promoting dignity and respect
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to address any issues or concerns
  • Accurately record and report work activities
  • Participate in on-call duties and provide support to the team as needed
  • Complete supervisions of support workers
Requirements
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Flexible and professional approach, with a positive attitude
  • Level 3 NVQ or QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards
  • Sound working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
  • Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping
  • Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual
  • Self-confidence and ability to manage challenging situations
  • Ability to address and respond to employee issues in a fair and consistent manner
