New Focus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our team in Accrington. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and management of our community social care service, ensuring that planned work is undertaken and that there is adequate support to the different areas of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish the priorities of the day and provide senior support and consultation to the team.
- Build links between different parts of the project, fostering a mutually supportive team environment.
- Support the service manager in relation to the project area and deputise in their absence.
- Undertake direct work with service users where necessary and supervise individual staff, ensuring regular reviews of practice.
- Manage finances, risk assessments, care plans, and other documents relevant to service users.
- Maintain and enhance understanding of key agendas in Health and Social Care, CQC, and other relevant topics.
- Liaise with other team leaders to ensure the overall coordination of the day-to-day running of the various projects.
Requirements:
- Strong management experience with a NVQ L3 in Social Care or equivalent or a relevant professional qualification.
- Extensive experience in care-related work, ideally within the field of learning disability.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues and your manager to ensure the effective and smooth running of the service.
- Shared and passionate belief in our values.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
