Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead our finance team in setting up a professional and compliant finance function. As a key member of the finance department, you will take ownership over the finance and supporting business operations, building your own financial admin infrastructure and taking responsibility for managing all finance and admin processes.

This role will report and work closely with the Senior Vice President, Finance and Operation. You will be responsible for leading the team to set up a professional and compliant finance function, taking over day-to-day responsibility for managing all finance and admin processes.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in life sciences, ideally in a global biotech that has transitioned from pre-revenue through to commercialisation. You will be highly organised, proactive, efficient, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full ownership of the financial processes and controls
  • Development of comprehensive documentation of policies, processes, and procedures for the finance and admin functions
  • Building close working relationships across the wider team
  • Review of management accounts and investor reporting figures
  • Lead relationship with statutory auditors and other third-party professional advisers
  • Full ownership of all global tax activities
  • Responsibility over global expansion and compliance
  • Cap table management, including complex loan and preference share transactions
  • Leading role in the development of an Information Security Management System to an ISO27001 standard

Salary and Benefits:

  • A competitive salary of £75,000 - £90,000 per annum, plus bonus (up to 15%)
