Job Description

This strategic role requires a collaborative leader with exceptional professionalism, governance, and prudence. As the Chief Financial Officer - R&D Tax Specialist, you will manage the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance department, ensuring successful collaboration with all departments in the company. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing robust financial guidance to ensure the company's financial commitments are met
  • Managing the finance department to perform core finance functions in a compliant and timely manner
  • Owning and reviewing regular statutory financial reports
  • Optimizing R&D tax claims through effective management of the company's R&D tax environment
  • Collaborating with Portfolio Management to embed financial accountability and transparency in R&D projects
Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Qualifications as a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • A commercial mindset and excellent analytical skills
  • Proven ability to deliver collaborative financial leadership
  • Experience leading a finance team within a life sciences area
