Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Support Assistant to join our team in a Children's Home near Cambridge. As a Support Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced team to provide high-quality care and support to residents with severe learning disabilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including washing, dressing, and getting ready for bed
  • Conduct regular checks throughout the night to ensure the safety and well-being of residents
  • Ensure that residents' medical needs are met, including administering medication
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for residents and colleagues alike
  • Perform light housekeeping duties during night shifts
Salary and Benefits
  • A competitive hourly rate of £20-25 per hour
  • A £1500 welcome bonus
  • A 4-weekly rota pattern, averaging 40 hours per week
  • Full-time or part-time shifts available, including weekend-only hours
  • Full training and qualifications provided, including funding for a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
