About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatric Medicine Consultant to join our team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Care of the Elderly consultant team, you will play a vital role in the development of our innovative Geriatric Medicine inpatient and outpatient services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of our Geriatric Medicine services, working closely with the clinical director and multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to acute and general medicine care, discharge planning, and outpatient clinics.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide support within the job plan for speciality interests.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary ward-based team, overseeing the care of patients.
  • Develop and deliver educational and clinical supervision of junior medical staff.
  • Contribute to research and audit interests, with support for Continuing Medical Education and personalized developmental budgets.
