About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Physician to join our Department of Medicine for Older People at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of our clinical services, contributing to acute and general medicine care, discharge planning, and outpatient clinics. They will also have the opportunity to join the acute medical consultant on-call rota and participate in clinical audit.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Geriatric Medicine and experience working within a Frailty Assessment Unit. They will be a team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing clinical services to improve patient outcomes
  • Contributing to the development of our clinical governance framework
  • Participating in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
  • Providing educational and clinical supervision to junior medical staff
