About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatric Medicine Consultant to join our team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Care of the Elderly consultant team, you will work closely with our clinical director to develop and deliver innovative inpatient and outpatient services for older adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical services for older adults, including acute and general medicine care, discharge planning, and outpatient clinics.
  • Contribute to the development of our clinical services and directly participate in acute and general medicine care, discharge planning, and the provision of outpatient clinics.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide support within the job plan for any specialty interests.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary ward-based team overseeing the care of patients.
  • Develop and deliver educational and clinical supervision of junior medical staff.
  • Contribute to research and audit interests, including clinical and non-clinical sessions.
