Job Title: Old Age Psychiatry Consultant

Medacs is seeking an experienced Old Age Psychiatry Consultant to join our team at Mersey Care NHS Trust. As a Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality psychiatric services to older patients at Hollins Park Hospital.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with complex mental health needs. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote independence and choice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide high-quality clinical care, including medication management and therapy.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines.
Requirements
  • MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or equivalent.
  • 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
