Senior Nursing Leader

Job Summary
To provide strategic leadership to the nursing workforce within the Specialised Surgery directorate, driving frontline professional and operational priorities, and managing ward and departmental nurse managers and specialist nurses.
This role will involve cross-site working, predominantly based at County to support the Elective Hub, ward, and departments within the Specialised Surgery Directorate.
Main Responsibilities
Contribute to the clinical and business success of the directorates and the corporate success of the trust.
Frequent and visible contact with staff, patients, and their families, providing feedback about trust services.
Establish and maintain communication with stakeholders on complex and stressful topics in various situations.
Communicate complex information to large groups in a clear and engaging manner.
Provide clinical leadership that inspires and motivates others, empowering them to improve patient care.
Promote professionalism among nurses and undertake clinical work to maintain professional competence.

Experience
Essential
- Minimum 3 years in a senior nursing post.
- Evidence of continuous management development.
- Evidence of leading a service.
Desirable
- Experience of senior leadership in a Matron role.
Education
Essential
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
- Evidence of leadership course.
- Evidence of nursing registration.
Desirable
- Masters-level education.
