About the Role

The Clinical Lead Nurse will be responsible for managing the clinical areas, assessing care needs, developing and implementing programs of care, and setting standards on a shift basis.

Job Description

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will participate in innovation and evidence-based nursing practice through professional leadership. You will support the clinical team in close liaison with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse and Junior Sister/Charge Nurse. You will deputise for the Sister/Charge Nurse at Unit/Directorate/Divisional meetings and working groups to improve patient care.

You will ensure that patient concerns are addressed on the ward/department and work with the Patient Advisory and Liaison Service (PALS) and patient forums. You will participate in the resolution of complaints/adverse incidents and support the Sister/Charge Nurse in developing and implementing action plans to prevent re-occurrence.

You will liaise with clinical experts in aspects of critical care to ensure clinical practice reflects the current deficit base.

Key Responsibilities
  • To manage the clinical areas, assess care needs, develop and implement programs of care, and set standards on a shift basis.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £45,753 - £64,132 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including annual leave, pension scheme, and training and development opportunities.

Our salaries are based on the Agenda for Change pay scale, which takes into account factors such as qualifications, experience, and location.
