Encore Global is seeking a highly skilled AV Technical Events Coordinator to join our team in London, UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and preparation of events, including setup and delivery from small meetings to large-scale productions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, rig, and de-rig equipment prior to events within the hotel/venue.
  • Main point of contact for clients to ensure customer expectations are fulfilled.
  • Pro-actively contact clients to develop sales potential and interpret technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain a portfolio of standard set designs/visuals to help clients visualize possibilities.
  • Maximize sales potential by up-selling services at every opportunity.
  • Participate in capture rate discussions and suggest ways to capture lost business.
  • Monitor sales files to review upcoming groups and ensure sales processes are followed.
  • Foster good relations with sales team members to maximize new leads.
  • Develop a database of clients who have visited the hotel/venue and correspond with them post-event.
  • Ensure responsibilities are within budget parameters and negotiate preferential rates.
  • Cultivate good relations with hotel/venue staff.
  • Create development plans with hotel teams to improve service levels.
  • Attend regular meetings with the London office to ensure all duties are carried out effectively.
  • Create and standardize information systems for equipment movements and requirements.
  • Develop dry hire shows and large-scale events with involvement in the tender process.
  • Monitor competitor activity and approach clients for future opportunities.
  • Delegate technical responsibility to on-site technicians.
  • Manage technician's time effectively and offer resources to sister hotels.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, Mathematics and English GCSE or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong background in AV / Live events and team management.
  • Previous experience in the Service and Hospitality industry preferred.
  • Previous audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment beneficial.
