Educational Support Specialist

Axcis Education Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support children with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and complex needs on a 1-1 basis in Skelmersdale.
This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, with the possibility of extending beyond Christmas. The school is rated 'outstanding' by OFSTED and offers a supportive team environment.
We require an enhanced DBS check for this position, ideally on the update service, but we can accept DBSs dated in the past 12 months. If you don't have one, Axcis can help you apply.
The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
You will need previous experience with manual handling and PECs, as well as a care background due to the needs of the children. The site is close to bus routes and has a large car park.
