Education Support Assistant

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking an experienced teaching assistant to support children with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and complex needs on a 1-1 basis in Skelmersdale.
Job Description:This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with manual handling and PECs. The school caters to pupils with a range of PMLD aged 3-11, and the successful applicant will be able to provide individualized support to meet the unique needs of each child.
The salary for this position is approximately £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a temporary position initially, although there is a high chance of extension or permanence for the right candidate.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Experience working with children with PMLD and complex needs
- Manual handling and PECs skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
