As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing operational support for our customers' mission-critical secure environments. Your responsibilities will include incident resolution, change implementation, and maintenance activities to ensure a stable and reliable environment.

Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our clients, and we are looking for a skilled and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join us. You will work closely with our customers to solve complex and unique challenges, and your expertise will be essential in implementing approved technical requests and developing improvements to operational and reference platform environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing operational support, including incident resolution, change implementation, and maintenance activities
  • Implementing approved technical requests from customers
  • Developing and implementing improvements to operational and reference platform environments
  • Implementing automation to improve productivity and reduce human error
  • Producing clear and concise documentation
  • Supporting the Tech Lead with active management of environments and escalating any risks
  • Proactive monitoring to stay ahead of potential issues
  • Supporting and participating in stakeholder management, service reporting, and reviews with Roke SDM and customer stakeholders
  • Embracing and adapting ITIL4 practices for agile platform operation delivery and operations environment
  • Developing and maintaining service operations according to customer and Roke policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices
  • Executing agreed changes to service provision, configuration items, and documentation

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing IT operations in complex, fast-paced, highly regulated environments, preferably aligned to national security or defence
  • Experience in technologies such as VMWare Suite, Windows System Administration, Linux System Administration, Backup solutions, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Awareness of Networking Technologies and Cyber Security principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation
  • Familiarity with the ITIL framework and experience working closely with DevOps product teams, particularly in public sector and National Security landscape
  • Familiarity with software development practices and tools used by software developers
