**Job Overview**

GSL Education is seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team in the East Riding of Yorkshire. This role offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide targeted support to students with behavioural challenges, enabling them to thrive academically and socially.

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will work closely with the pastoral team to develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies, helping students to manage their behaviour and engage effectively in classroom activities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges, implementing tailored behaviour management strategies.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social and emotional development.
  • Developing and maintaining Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs) and personalised support strategies, ensuring student needs are met.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Proven experience working with children or young people in an educational or support setting, particularly those with behavioural difficulties.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND and behaviour management strategies, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
