Associate Professor in Accounting

The Accounting and Financial Management Department at Northumbria University is seeking a highly accomplished academic to join its Accounting Subject as an Associate Professor of Accounting. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate ongoing academic excellence and achievement, providing academic leadership through contributions to their discipline and the University's Faculty and wider community.
This role involves undertaking a specific management portfolio within the Department and Faculty, as well as contributing to delivering the Faculty's strategic priorities, which include the integration of high-quality research, excellent teaching, and leadership on diverse portfolios within an academic context.
The successful candidate will lead and contribute to research activities, increasing inclusivity in the subject and department, and delivering research outputs, income generation, and impact as agreed by the department's Research Leadership Team. We are interested in candidates from all areas of accounting, particularly those with expertise in financial accounting, auditing, taxation, and management accounting.
The role-holder will assist the Head of Department and Faculty Pro Vice-Chancellor in maintaining, enhancing, and improving the University's national and international reputation in their academic field.
