Associate Professor in Accounting

The Accounting and Financial Management Department at Northumbria University is seeking a highly accomplished academic to join its Accounting Subject as an Associate Professor of Accounting. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate ongoing academic excellence and provide academic leadership through contributions to their discipline and the University's Faculty and wider community.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and contribute to research activities, enhancing inclusivity in the subject and department, and delivering research outputs, income generation, and impact as agreed by the department's Research leadership team.
- Assist the Head of Department and Faculty Pro Vice-Chancellor in maintaining, enhancing, and improving the University's national and international reputation in their academic field.
- Contribute to delivering the Faculty's strategic priorities, including the integration of high-quality research, excellent teaching, and the provision of inclusive leadership on diverse portfolios within an academic context.
We are interested in hearing from candidates with expertise in financial accounting, auditing, taxation, and management accounting. An outstanding profile, a robust research agenda, and evidence of previous research funding success are essential. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the department's goals and contribute to the University's mission.
