Job Title: Locum Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a leading healthcare institution, excelling in patient care, teaching, and research.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work at the centre of a regional network that covers nearly 4 million people in our Major Trauma Centre, including dedicated major trauma ward, theatres, and critical care facilities. The role offers an outstanding opportunity to play a key role in developing and delivering trauma services in the region and improving outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage acute major trauma surgical conditions
  • Develop and deliver trauma services in the region
  • Improve outcomes for patients
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Eligibility for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice
  • Experience in training undergraduate medical students and postgraduate doctors
  • High level of clinical experience and competence in the management of acute major trauma surgical conditions
