The Role: Leading and Supervising Your Shift

  • Lead by example: Set the standard for exceptional care delivery and inspire your team to do the same.
  • Case manage residents: Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure the best care plans are created and delivered.
  • Medication administration: Ensure accurate and timely administration of medication, recording and reporting as necessary.
  • Risk assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement effective solutions.
  • Daily needs support: Collaborate with care assistants to support residents with daily activities, promoting independence and activity.
  • Service development: Work closely with the leadership team to develop and improve services, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our residents.

About You

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable.
  • You must be well-organised, IT literate, and able to allocate and delegate work effectively.
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise others is essential.
  • A good understanding of care planning processes is crucial.
  • Experience in administering medication or willingness to undertake training is required.
