Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEMH Support Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Preston. As a SEMH Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in crisis and ensure their safety and well-being
  • Provide individualized support to students to help them access their education
  • Lead small group interventions to promote positive learning behaviors
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEMH difficulties
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting students with SEMH difficulties
