Are you a passionate and caring SEND teacher looking for a new challenge? We are seeking experienced teachers to join our team, working with various schools across the UK. This role offers long-term placements, short-term contracts, or flexible day-to-day supply work.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for experienced Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) teachers who want to make a positive impact in diverse schools. Our goal is to find the right candidate for each placement, ensuring a great fit for both the teacher and the school.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create Personalised Learning Plans: Develop tailored education plans that cater to the unique needs of each student, promoting academic growth and independence.
  2. Implement Specialised Teaching Strategies: Employ various teaching methods and interventions tailored to students with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech and Language Difficulties, Dyslexia, ADHD, and physical disabilities.
  3. Foster Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with teaching assistants, other educators, and external specialists to provide holistic support to students, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
  4. Engage in Ongoing Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in SEND education through continuous professional development, enhancing your skills and knowledge.
Essential Criteria
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in teaching students with special educational needs and disabilities, with a track record of success in various SEND settings.
  • Recognised Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS) and a specialisation or significant experience in SEND.
  • Passion for SEND: A deep commitment to improving the learning journeys of students with special needs, showing warmth, care, and patience in all interactions.
  • Adaptability and Innovation: Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs and to innovate in lesson planning and delivery.
  • Safeguarding: A thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures, with all candidates subject to an enhanced DBS check.
  • Diverse Opportunities: Work in a range of school environments, from mainstream to specialist settings, gaining invaluable experience.
