About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at Birmingham Hospice. As a key member of our Retail Team, you will play a vital role in driving sales and revenue growth, while ensuring exceptional customer service and a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.
  • Lead and motivate a team of sales staff and volunteers to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Ensure that stock is displayed and merchandised effectively, and that the shop and stockroom are always clean and tidy.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and donors to ensure a consistent flow of high-quality stock.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Area Manager to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive foot traffic and sales.

Requirements:

  • Significant retail experience, preferably within the charity sector.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and meeting sales targets.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
